Limiting colour and working primarily in black and white challenges me to compose with basic elements. I like to see how far I can push a painting and still resolve it as in 'Blessed Be' which is a subtle and powerful painting (and is almost impossible to photograph) There is a stark honesty that comes through when a painting is stripped down to the bones.
